Placement Process

When a referral is made to Live-In Care, a thorough intake is conducted with the referring party. A client visit is then scheduled to meet the client and family.

Live-In Care's services are explained and an assessment of the client is made to provide the best possible match between the Client and Caregiver.

If a Client is not satisified with the Caregiver for any reason, the Client may request a different Caregiver or terminate service.

Live-In Care will contact the client on a regular basis to ensure service is satisfactory.

The recruitment and screening of Caregivers is the most important factor in successful placement. Live-In Care of Pennsylvania takes pride in our thorough recruitment process. The screening process consists of the following elements:

  • One-to-one Personal Interview
  • Check Two Work and Two Personal References by Direct Contact (Letters of Recommendation are Never Sufficient)
  • Assistance with Medication
  • Skill Assessment to Determine the Abilities of the Caregiver
  • FBI Finger Print Check
  • PA Criminal Record Check
